My name is Linda Dewey.  I have worked for  the US postal service for 24 years.  I became interested in Reiki after reading Reiki for animals.  My husband and I live on a farm and have three  horses, two dogs, three house cats, and numerous barn cats.  After reading this book I was looking for a Reiki teacher and had to have a Reiki treatment first.  My friend found Brenda Peterson's ad in the Lotus and I went to Brenda for a treatment.  I have remained a student of Brenda's through Reiki I, Reiki II, Advanced Reiki, Master Reiki, Rainbow Reiki I and Rainbow Reiki II.

Reiki has made a dramatic change in my life, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  I feel I am a better person because of the Reiki, and have much more to offer the planet and universe with the changes that Reiki has made.

My name is Sarah Ford, I am a Reiki Level 2, a mother of two, and the office manager at the Lincoln Square Theatre.  I began studying Reiki this past summer.  Having always been a person drawn to helping others, and needing an inmense amount of healing myself, I did a lot of soul searching to figure out what I was meant to do.  Then I discovered Reiki, more like stumbled upon it, via the internet and Brenda's website.  But, I do believe that there are no accidents, and that everything happens for a reason.  I know in my heart that Reiki is the direction that I am supposed to take.  I don't think that I've ever been so certain on anything in my entire life.  When it's right, ya just know.  I spent years struggling with depression, anxiety, and anger.  Not anymore.  Those that know me have been telling me that they can see a huge change in me and how happy they are for me.  Brenda is amazing!  I look forward to learning all that I can from her.  I truly feel blessed to have her in my life and as a guide along this Reiki path.

My name is Ruben Martinez.  I am 20 years old.  I am Reiki level 2.  I am a farmer who enjoys working alongside nature and specially with my hands.  I am happily married and father of a two year old daughter.  I think Reiki has been a treasure awaiting for me to discover, not only the Reiki practice but the magnitude of this power, not only is it helpful for self-treating but the benefit others receive is much more satisfying.  From a young age, I have been surrounded by sickness.  Unfortunately my mother suffers from various health problems and I remember the pain she went through, caused by numerous surgeries, lab tests, and sleepless nights.  From that point on, I took upon the idea to try and find another answer to pain relief and hopefully curing the problem, without the massive hospital bills and above all the traumatizing effect this puts on a family.  It was until one day my mother had a very bad headache that I became aware of something, by simply putting my hands on her head opened something inside me, the sensation going up my feet traveling up my body and ending in my hands was fascinating.  At that point I didn't know it was energy, but it took my mothers pain away.  My wive's aunt, introduced Reiki to me and from that instant on I knew that was what I was looking for.  That  experience changed my life and I explored further knowledge of what had happened.  Now that I know what Reiki is, I want to become more proficient in Reiki.  My goal is to master Reiki and help many people.
